Dynamic theme† This is the name Samsung gave to the Material You inspired feature in the One UI 4.0 update. As a reminder, this is the modified version tied to Android 12 that is coming to the South Korean brand’s Galaxy smartphones.
Here’s what the second beta of One UI 4 reveals that the NextPit teams were able to discover on a Samsung Galaxy S21+. Dynamic Theme is an adaptation of the most obvious novelty of Android 12 that allows you to match the colors of the system to those of the user’s chosen wallpaper.
Until now, Samsung had not yet integrated this option on One user interface 4. So this is good news for lovers of customization† This enhances the immersion in the interface and gives a unique look to the system.
However, NextPit colleagues have realized that not all apps do automatic theme color switching (Material You on this One UI 4 beta), like the pre-installed Samsung keyboard. Despite this, the colors change in the shortcut panel, in some menus, or even in the calculator.
Recently too Oppo also offers a feature borrowed from Material You in ColorOS 12the recently unveiled Android 12 update.
Samsung’s beta version of One UI 4.0 is available on Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra released earlier this year.
