After Samsung’s success in the world of folding with Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip 3, OPPO also plans to enter this market. At least that’s what the rumors suggest: a leaker has leaked some technical details of a device that has not yet been announced.
OPPO’s mysterious fold should take the form of a book with an internal fold. The main screen, the foldable one, will be 7.8 inches in size †compared to the 7.6 of the Z Fold 3† Also according to rumors, the resolution would be FHD +, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
We also have information about cameras. The rear main sensor will be a 50MP Sony IMX766 while the front selfie camera will have 32MP. There are also rumors that the processor used will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
The latest information is that the operating system will be a version of ColorOS 12 based on Android 11. Given the upcoming relaunch of Android 12, this could be an indication that OPPO’s new flip-out feature isn’t that far off.: but for now it’s just speculation.
