Apple released a press release today that it will hold another livestreamed product reveal event this year — this time on November 10 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time. This will be the company’s third event since September.

As always, Apple added a tagline to the event: “one more thing.” That’s a callback to former CEO Steve Jobs’s technique of saving a great announcement for the end of the event and prefacing it with a slide (or just a statement) announcing “one more thing.”

That “one more thing” is almost certainly the first of a wave of Apple Silicon-based Macs. The company announced at its developer conference in June that it would unveil the first such product by the end of the year, after laying out its plans to gradually transition Macs from Intel CPUs to its own custom-designed, ARM-based ones. in the course of time. of several years.

The Mac focus seems almost confirmed by the AR experience Apple released to promote the event (it has now released it for a few ongoing events) which shows an Apple logo that folds up like a MacBook lid. As the lid-like logo moves upwards, it casts light on the ground that contains all the colors of the default macOS Big Sur desktop image.

It’s completely unknown at this point which Mac will make the jump first and whether it will replace its Intel counterpart (if such a counterpart exists) or live alongside it for months or years to come.

Other potential product announcements include AirPods Studio over-ear headphones and AirTags, the company’s long-overdue geolocation devices. That said, the “one more thing” title and the fact that the company tends to run events that primarily target one market segment at a time suggest that this event may nothing but go about the Mac.

Be that as it may, we’ll know in just over a week.
