Until today, the default listening mode on Spotify has always been there “Shuffle Playback”† In the most listened to titles of an artist, in a playlist or in an album, the music streaming platform has preferred the mode “Shaked” which plays one title after another in undefined order. A trend that may have annoyed several artists, but the singer Adeleon the occasion of the release of her new album 30, she managed to change the Swedish company’s mind.
As the Engadget website reports, the default listening mode is now simply the order of the songs. A way to respect the design of an album.

Random mode still accessible
This new mode is now suggested by default for all albums available on Spotify, but it will still be possible to select the shuffle mode. To do this, after starting playback of a first title, all you need to do is go to the playback page and select the Shuffle icon (🔀) to the left of the playback controls.
