In September, Samsung unveiled ISOCELL HP1, the first 200 Megapixel camera sensor. Until now there was no information about possible future use, but a leak suggested that: the first smartphone to use it will not be Samsung itself, but Motorola.
According to noted informant Ice Universe, in fact, Motorola plans to release the 200 Megapixel camera smartphone in mid-2022† It will be called Moto Edge X and certainly won’t be the only one showing off the new sensor. Xiaomi will follow, aiming to release an equally powerful smartphone in the second half of 2022, and Samsung, which will instead wait until 2023.
In particular, it will not be the Galaxy 22 that shows off the new ISOCELL camera, but an unannounced device. You’ll probably have to wait for the Galaxy 23 before you can get your hands on a Samsung phone equipped with the technology.
