Lenovo is launching a new product line under the brand name “Lenovo Go”, starting with a wireless rechargeable portable mouse and a large-capacity portable battery.
“Built on user insights,” the Go product line claims to be designed for users who work part in the office, part at home, and part on the go. The new devices aren’t revolutionary by any means, but they could provide a glimpse of the kind of new offerings we can expect from companies like Lenovo in the future. That emphasis on remote working is likely to guide product development for a while yet.
The new Lenovo Go USB-C Laptop Power Bank is a portable charger with a capacity of 20,000 mAh that can deliver a power of 65 watts. It can charge up to three devices simultaneously, both wirelessly and wired.
In addition, the company introduces the Lenovo Go Wireless Multi-Device Mouse. Lenovo says it’s the first in “a line of wired and wireless charging solutions coming soon.”
The travel-sized mouse can be paired with up to three devices and charged wirelessly (in the Qi standard) or with a USB-C cable. It’s not the first wireless charging mouse – for example, we’ve seen desktop wireless mice that charge through their companion mouse pads – but it’s one of the first travel mice with this design.
Both gadgets will go on sale in the US sometime in June. The battery pack costs $89.99 and the mouse goes for $59.99.
Lenovo also says that audio devices will be launched later this year as part of the Lenovo Go brand, but it has not yet described specific products.
