UPDATE 00:10: Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram services are slowly coming back online around the world, although server responses are very slow at the moment.
UPDATE AT 23:57: after more than six hours of complete down, the services of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram are still unreachable. From Mark Zuckerberg’s platforms, at this point, no explanation, just apologies.
WhatsApp is said to be working to fix the problem and promises new updates.

Twitter, on the other hand, takes advantage of it and makes fun of it….
Journalist Sheera Frenkel, author of a book recently published on Facebook, said the network outage was so bad that Facebook employees couldn’t enter their company premises because their passes didn’t work.
5.30pm – As happened last month, the social Instagram is not available to most users trying to access it. All company services are also inactive founded by Mark Zuckerberg as the messaging apps WhatsApp, Messenger and the same social network Facebook.
The first reports of the malfunction came in on Monday 4 October around 5.30 pm. Start applications, but cannot upload new content or send messages. The problem then seems to affect both the services on smartphones and those on PCs.
On Twitter, the hashtag #InstagramDown has regained popularity and the number of tweets complaining about service downtime is rapidly increasing, making the hashtag trending. The tweets are written in different languages, indicating a major disruption, probably on a global scale.
For now, Facebook has not released any official releases about the issue.
