Huawei ready to launch smartwatch with blood pressure measurement – Geekcomparison

Following the uncertainties in the smartphone sector due to the US ban, Huawei is diversifying its strategy and to date, the company offers no fewer than three watch ranges: Watch Fit, Watch GT and Watch† A fourth could be added soon, he reports GSMArena

According to information from leaker Chrysanthemum Films Fans, the Chinese manufacturer is in fact working on a new model connected watch called “Huawei watch D” which would stand out with the addition of a feature that is still rare on the market: measurement of blood pressure or voltage

“This Huawei watch has been a long time in the making. It is the first blood pressure device from Huawei that meets medical standards and is certified,” emphasizes the leaker.

For the time being, there are very few connected clocks that can measure blood pressure. We think in particular of Samsung with its Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, which must, however, be used in combination with a smartphone of the same brand. For its part, Apple is also working on such a solution, probably for the next Apple Watch. The same goes for Fitbit, which could integrate blood pressure into its upcoming watches, according to a study launched earlier this year.

It must be said that the Chinese manufacturer is already offering some new features on other watches. This is the case with the skin temperature measurement, which can be found in particular on the Huawei Watch 3, but also on the Huawei Watch GT 3.

The publication of Chrysanthemum Films Fans on Weibo also allows you to design of this future Huawei Watch D. Unlike the current models on the market, it should adopt a rectangular screen, similar to that of the Huawei Watch Fit. There would also be two buttons on the right-hand side, one to go to the main screen and one for the health functions, circled in red. For the bracelet, Huawei would have opted for a silicone band in order to be able to use it better during sports.

According to the leaker, the Huawei Watch D could be presented in China by the end of the year† So we’ll have to wait another month before we find out the details.
