Huawei has announced the launch of its annual smartphone photography competition, the “Next-Image Awards 2021”. This year it is “Better Together” and starting today, Huawei users around the world can submit their photo and video masterpieces for a chance to win one of 70 incredible prizes, including the new Huawei P50 and cash prizes of up to $10,000. The deadline to participate is November 30, 2021.
“Huawei’s Next-Image Awards are the largest smartphone photography competition in the world, attracting more than 2 million participants since the competition began in 2017.” With easy entry mechanisms and over 70 odds of winning, amateur smartphone photographers and visual storytellers from around the world are ready to animate the competition for the fifth consecutive year.
“Unlike other competitions that seek a global winner, Huawei encourages participants to explore different perspectives, formats and lighting conditions,” notes Huawei’s press department.
There will be 10 different categories: portraits, black and white, video story, photo story, snapshot, wide angle, distance shots, night shots, super macro and Hello for life.
Perfectly aligned with Huawei’s strengths in mobile photography, the categories encourage users to take full advantage of the innovative features of their devices and tell original and compelling stories through photos and videos.

In addition, from September 15 to November 21, Huawei is launching a competition dedicated to Italy: every two weeks, a local jury will nominate the winner of two different categories for the Next-Image 2021 Community Italy† For the participants, Huawei nova 8i and Huawei MateView GT are up for grabs.
