The screen
So let’s start with the main character, the di6.8 inch screen. The new Kindle Paperwhite combines one 6.8-inch screen with a thinner brim (1.2 cm) which gives it an elegant design. The screen of 300 ppi and anti-glare guarantees an excellent definition, and thus legibility, of the texts and, thanks to the paper effect, ensures a perfect reading experience, even in direct sunlight.
When set to maximum, it offers 10% more brightness to ease the eyes, adjustable light tone and white-on-black mode for reading at any time, day or night. Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition also features a light sensor with automatic adjustment which automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to the prevailing lighting conditions.

The battery life of the new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition reaches up to 10 weeks on a single charge† Fast USB-C charging takes only 2.5 hours to fully charge the player when using a 9W or more powerful adapter. In addition, Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is the first Kindle to feature the wireless charging and compatible with any Qi wireless charger (sold separately).
The new Kindle Paperwhite devices will then have a IPx8 protection level and they’re tested for accidental submersion in water, so you can take them anywhere, like the sea, pool or bathtub.
